SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited (“SunTrust Atlantic”) and its JV partner have just concluded the 2022 Annual Scholarship Award and Skills Acquisition Programme ceremony. The programme which was held at the field location in Umusadege Kwale on Friday, March 4th 2022, attracted various dignitaries and stakeholders, including, representatives from the host communities and the Delta State government.
The Scholarship award scheme is a programme designed to provide financial support to students from the host communities and Delta State.
51 students (39 students in the University Category and 12 students in the Secondary School category) benefited from the 2022 Scholarship award programme. Over 300 students have benefited from the Annual Scholarship award scheme from inception.
Also featured during the event was the presentation of 32 new intakes from the various host communities for the Skill Acquisition Programme. The JV’s Skill Acquisition programme provides the platform to support entrepreneurial development within the host communities. Graduates of this programme receive both economic starter packs and start-up stipends.
The Executive Director, Finance, Commercial and Services of SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited, Mrs. Rachel Akhuetie, who was present at the event congratulated the recipients of the awards and encouraged them to continue to be worthy ambassadors of the State and Nigeria.
