COMMUNITY AFFAIRS – 2023 MEDICAL OUTREACH

SunTrust Atlantic and its partners embarked on a  medical outreach to Umusadege and Umusam communities of Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Government Council as part of their corporate social responsibility to the host communities.

Mr James Ekainu, External Affairs manager at SunTrust Atlantic joined other colleagues from Midwestern Oil during the week-long event. The team reiterated SunTrust Atlantic’s commitment to a peaceful working environment through strategic engagement with the various host communities.

The medical outreach is an annual community-support event that has provided medical assistance to 5000 persons within the host community since its inception.

This year’s event centered on eye care as requested by the host communities, with many indigenes receiving free eye examinations and medications. Another outreach is planned for Q4 2023 to enable SunTrust Atlantic attend to other medical needs within the host communities and to compensate for the 2022 medical outreach which could not hold due to the flood disaster in the communities.
