Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN); Member, Fellow of the Institute of Credit Association (FICA).

He holds a B. Eng (Hons), Mech. Engineering, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria (1988). He is Associate member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is a Graduate of University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School – Advanced Management Program (AMP51 Ð Oct 2006) and the Shell Group Leadership Program at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland (June 2008).

Malije joined Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in 1991 as a Field Engineer and was shortly afterwards appointed Senior Site Authorised Representative for the Forcados Terminal Crude Oil Storage Tank Rehab (a $50 mln capitalfello project) . He worked in various roles throughout the organization between 1991 and 2002. He joined Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) at the end of 2002 and held several Engineering leadership roles in Shell Nigeria until 2014. As Manager, Engineering and Asset Support, he managed the delivery of several large-scale Deepwater oil and gas projects. More recently, he managed safe and successful delivery of the Nigeria deep water development opportunities, as well as provided engineering support to operating offshore assets (Bonga Main and Sea Eagle FPSOs). He also led the delivery of major Real Estate Developments, as well as the provision of Infrastructure Services for Shell’s E & P Companies in Nigeria. His experience covers the following areas:- project management, business advisory, petroleum economics, infrastructure, commercial contract management and EP operations.
